After an interruption of a few years, we are organizing a new edition of the Colloque francophone des Cristaux Liquides in the Paris region during the last week of August.
It will be held in Orsay at the LPS from August 26, 2025, starting at 2pm, to Friday August 29, 2025, at 12:30pm.
We intend to keep the conference very informal, relatively inexpensive, open to as many people as possible, especially young researchers, and with a large number of short oral contributions. We'd also like to focus a little more on the central theme of liquid crystals, i.e. the character of anisotropic fluids, whatever the systems studied. In fact, the idea would be for us all to be able to assess the size and nature of the French liquid crystals community at present, and to consider what actions might be useful, particularly for the new players who have emerged in recent years.
To enable as many people as possible, especially students, to take part, we are proposing the use of slides in English, and will leave the language of oral interventions up to you.
We hope that many of you will join us in Orsay at the end of August for the colloquium.
